- Accelerating electrification and decarbonisation: Increase energy independence through onsite generation and storage, reducing pressure on local network and strengthening operational resilience. - Enhancing sustainable transport access: Collaborate on initiatives to improve public and active transport options for airport users and employees, including better bus services and cycling infrastructure.
- Circular economy practices: Partner on programmes to reduce waste generation at the airport, including construction and transition towards a circular economy model.
- Resilient and sustainable infrastructure: Demonstrate leadership of sustainable construction practices whilst enhancing resilience of one of the district’s most significant infrastructure assets.
